ADVENTURES

HUMAN AND SPORTS EXPEDITIONS

The main purpose of our adventures is to transmit. The discovery of remote places and the meetings held will be visible in our documentaries. Being at our beginnings, for the moment we have little material to give you examples, but it will not be long! The personal travel images below give you an idea of what we can accomplish together!

BAIKAL- NORDKAPP: A BIKE TOUR

AN ADVENTURE IMAGINED BY THREE FRIENDS

For the association's first expedition, we decided to think big. Everyone knows that traveling has a big impact on the environment, but that shouldn't stop us from going on an adventure!

The purpose of our trip is to highlight the importance of traveling with a low carbon impact. Over more than 6 months, our ambition is to cross Eastern Europe for more than 7000 km by bike with the ultimate goal of crossing Lake Baikal. We cross the lake from South to North in March over a distance of more than 600 km in 2 weeks.

This sporting and human challenge will take place from February to June 2021 and we will pass through a dozen countries. You will find the extent of the route on the map below. Do not hesitate to click on the bubbles of the stages for a description!

WHY THIS DESTINATION

Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater reservoir in the world with a volume of 24,000 km3 (20% of world freshwater reserves). With a depth of over 1600 m, it is also the deepest lake in the world. All these record figures make him the cradle of myths and traditions. It is also home to a unique ecosystem, of which 80% of flora and fauna is endemic.

These particularities place it on the UNESCO World Heritage List, but it is unfortunately fragile and is deteriorating more and more because of global warming.

We therefore aim to go there and do a report in order to study the way of life in such a remote place, by offering original interviews to the natives of the region, the Buryats, as well as to the scientists there. We will also go through the Nordkapp where the Samis live, another people living in similar weather conditions, to have a second point of view on climate-related issues.

A TRIP TO NORDKAPP: A BIKE TOUR

A REVISIT OF THE GREAT TRIP

As you should know, the Coronavirus is putting us in a bit of trouble for the start of our first adventure. Russia refusing us entry into its territory, we were forced to modify our trip to remain legal!

But fear not! Lake Baikal remains within our objectives and we will explore it when the world returns to normal. So for the revisit of the trip, we keep the Nordkapp visual, but we will make a detour beforehand through Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
